Among Rebel Wind's progeny you find many good broodmares; Garafin, Homeward Bound, Sparrow Hill, Gipsy Moth, Trixie, Lehid Wild Wind, Roundstone River, Bunowen Saga, Breath of Wind, Grey Belinda och Cregg View Colleen. He has also left the stallions: Marble, Atlantic Rebel (exported to Australia), Ocean Wind (exported to Holland), Roundstone Oscar (exported to Canada), Dangan Dun and Murphy Rebel.

In her book "Connemara Pony Breeders' Society 1923-1998" Lib Petch describes Rebel Wind in the following words:
"Rebel Wind (127) was a small tough little stallion, he measured 13 hands and was the real old stamp of pony, carrying no outside blood in his pedigree. He was a prolific sire and in the fourteen years he travelled the roads in Connemara, he had a total number of 334 registered progeny, which was a record number by a stallion owned by the Society."
