Golden Dan was a very true Conne-
mara with all the good qualities of the breed which he showed himself between the shafts and under saddle. He was shown driven up to 30 years of age and was driven in competitions until he was 25. During his life he competed and won in cross country and driving and he also had success in the showring. In 1973 he won the stallion class at the first national Connemarashow at Schönbach. In 1979 he won the stallion class at a show near Münich. In 1980 and 1985 he won the stallion class at the German national breed show.
Many of Golden Dans progeny has been successful in the show ring, Lovely Bellis, Mary, Maisie, Scarlet, Glaskopf Golden Carmel and Atlantic Lady to name a few. Dan also bred several stallion sons, they are Glaskopf Golden Merlin, Granger, Golden Gori, Gordon, Ginster, Golden Rock, Golden Daniel, Golden Dandy and Lonely Twin Golden Dawn. Golden Dan was Elite premium awarded.
